Man is able to walk again after being given a 1% chance to do so after car crash
Tyler Wesley got in a car crash at the age of 15 and was paralyzed from the shoulders down...
This video quickly went viral garnering more than 9 million views on twitter.
Tyler was born and raise in Denver, Colorado. He grew up having a very active childhood and playing in youth sports, most notably, soccer. Even making the varsity team of his high school as freshman. He had dreams of playing in college and even professionally one day but all that would change in a flash of an eye.
On May 20th, 2012, Tyler was involved in a rollover accident at the age of 15 that lead to him having a broken neck, a broken C-4 vertebrae, being paralyzed from the shoulders down, and being quadriplegic. Life altering injuries that changed in a matter of seconds.
“I’ve learned that you just have to work hard and do it. You have to force yourself to get up. You have to force yourself to put one foot before the other and you refuse to let the pain get to you. You fight. You cry. Then you go on about your day of living. That’s how I’ve done it. There’s no other way.”
By no stretch of the imagination was this an easy process. This process has taken a huge mental toll as it did take a physical toll. Every single day is a challenge to try and improve your motor skills and gain back what you once lost.
Through hard work and dedication, Tyler is now able to walk without a walker. This took an extraordinary amount of time to accomplish and is being rightfully praised on social media. His next step in rehabilitation is being able to use his arms and hands for basic purposes.
8-year-old learns to drive on Youtube, heads to McDonald’s
An 8-year-old Ohio boy with a craving for a cheeseburger drove himself and his 4-year-old sister to McDonald’s Sunday night after learning how to drive by watching YouTube videos.
Police arrived at the McDonald’s in East Palestine, Ohio, around 8 p.m. Sunday after receiving multiple calls from people who saw the young boy driving, the Weirton Daily Times reported. According to authorities, the children headed to McDonald’s after their parents fell asleep early.
During the mile and a half road trip, the 8-year-old obeyed all traffic laws and drove “effortlessly” through downtown, East Palestine Patrolman Jacob Koehler told the Times. “He didn’t hit a single thing on the way there. It was unreal,” he said.
The 8 year old used money from his piggybank to pay for the food. A family friend who was inside the restaurant spotted the children and called the grandparents who later picked them up.
The resourceful out of the youth these days is remarkable. Anything can be taught on youtube which goes to show you how children are learning things these days. He probably watched a 5 minute video on youtube and decided that was enough and left for McDonald’s.
